Version 1.0 — Effective September 26, 2026

This Content License (the “Agreement”) explains how digital content downloaded from Articoo may be used. It applies to both paid and free content. By purchasing or downloading any Content from Articoo, you agree to this Agreement, the Articoo Terms of Use, and the policies incorporated into those documents.

Quick License Summary

The Articoo Standard License is a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license for personal and commercial use. This summary is provided for convenience only; the complete terms below control.

You may:

  • Modify, crop, resize, recolor, add text or effects, and combine Content with other elements.
  • Use Content in advertising, websites, social media, videos, publications, presentations, packaging, apps, games, and client work.
  • Create and sell an unlimited number of physical products and print-on-demand products, including when the Content is the main visual value of the product.
  • Allow authorized employees, contractors, printers, and production providers to access Content only as necessary to complete permitted work for you.

You may not:

  • Resell, share, gift, sublicense, or redistribute the original or modified Content as a standalone digital asset.
  • Sell Content as a downloadable wallpaper, printable, digital poster, template, clipart, stock asset, source file, or other digital product whose primary value is the Content itself.
  • Use Content as a logo, trademark, service mark, or exclusive brand identity.
  • Use Content to train or fine-tune artificial-intelligence models, build datasets or model weights, or create NFTs or tokenized assets.
  • Use Content for unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, deceptive, or otherwise prohibited purposes described below.

1. Definitions

“Articoo” means the independent digital marketplace operating at Articoo.art.

“Content” means any photo, illustration, vector, PSD file, design, image, preview-related download, or other digital asset made available for authorized download through Articoo, whether paid or free.

“Contributor” means the independent creator or rights holder who supplies Content to Articoo and authorizes Articoo to license it.

“Licensee” or “you” means the individual who downloads the Content or the business or other legal entity identified in the applicable order when the individual acts with authority on its behalf.

“End Product” means a completed personal or commercial project in which the Content has been incorporated in accordance with this Agreement.

“Standalone Digital Product” means a downloadable digital file in which the Content remains extractable, reusable, editable, or is itself the primary reason a customer would obtain the digital file, including wallpapers, printables, digital posters, templates, clipart, stock files, and source-file bundles.

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Articoo, acting under the rights granted by the applicable Contributor, grants you a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and royalty-free license to download, modify, and use the Content in unlimited permitted personal and commercial End Products.

You pay once for paid Content and do not owe Articoo or the Contributor any royalty, percentage, or additional fee based on the number of permitted projects, views, clients, physical products, or print-on-demand sales. Content offered as a free download receives the same Articoo Standard License for a price of zero.

This license grants usage rights only. No copyright, ownership, exclusive right, moral right, trademark right, or other intellectual-property ownership is transferred to you.

3. Permitted Personal and Commercial Uses

You may use Content in unlimited finished personal and commercial projects, including:

  • Advertising, marketing, social media, websites, email campaigns, and online publications.
  • Videos, broadcasts, presentations, books, magazines, covers, and editorial layouts that do not present the Content as a separately downloadable asset.
  • Software, mobile applications, games, and digital experiences in which the Content is embedded and cannot reasonably be extracted for independent reuse.
  • Product packaging, labels, displays, event materials, interior decoration, and business materials.
  • Finished projects created for clients, subject to the client-work rules below.
  • Physical merchandise and print-on-demand products under Section 6.

4. Modifications and Derivative Work

You may crop, resize, recolor, retouch, add text or effects, edit compatible layered or vector files, and combine Content with other creative elements. You may own the original elements that you add, but the Contributor retains the copyright and all underlying rights in the licensed Content.

Modification does not convert the Content into your exclusive property and does not permit you to sell or distribute the original or modified Content as a standalone stock asset, source file, reusable template, or other prohibited digital product.

5. Company, Employee, Contractor, and Client Use

If Content is downloaded for a business or other legal entity identified in the order, that entity is the Licensee. Its employees and contractors may access and use the Content only as reasonably necessary to create permitted End Products for that Licensee. They receive no independent license and may not retain or reuse the Content for themselves or for another customer.

Your Articoo account credentials may not be shared. Only the authorized account holder may sign in to the account and download Content directly from Articoo.

You may create completed End Products for multiple clients. A client may receive and use the completed End Product for its intended purpose, but may not receive the original Content, an editable source containing extractable Content, or an independent right to reuse the Content in other projects. A client that needs independent access or reuse rights must obtain its own license from Articoo.

6. Physical Merchandise and Print-on-Demand

You may manufacture, advertise, distribute, and sell an unlimited number of physical products and print-on-demand products incorporating the Content. This includes, without limitation, T-shirts, apparel, mugs, posters, canvases, wall art, books, stationery, packaging, accessories, home décor, and similar physical goods.

This permission applies even when the Content is the main visual value of the physical product and whether or not the original Articoo product page displayed a merchandise mockup. A mockup is a marketing example and is not a condition of the license.

You may upload or provide the Content to a printer, manufacturer, fulfillment company, or print-on-demand platform only as necessary to produce permitted products for you. The provider must not acquire any independent right to retain, reuse, sell, distribute, train on, or otherwise exploit the Content. You are responsible for your providers’ compliance with these restrictions.

7. Digital End Products

You may incorporate Content into a website, app, game, video, ebook, digital publication, or presentation when it is embedded in the finished project and cannot reasonably be extracted and reused as a standalone asset.

You may not sell, share, or distribute Content as a Standalone Digital Product. Prohibited examples include downloadable wallpapers, printables, digital posters, templates, editable design files, clipart, stock assets, source files, or any digital download whose primary value is the Content itself. Password protection, flattening, minor modification, or conversion to another file format does not make an otherwise prohibited standalone digital product permissible.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, gift, upload, or make Content available as a standalone file, whether original or modified.
  • Upload Content to another stock marketplace, asset library, file-sharing service, download repository, or platform where others can obtain or reuse it.
  • Include Content in a template, source-file bundle, design kit, website theme, application resource pack, or other product from which it can be extracted or reused.
  • Claim authorship, copyright ownership, exclusivity, or any ownership right in the underlying Content.
  • Use or register Content, in whole or in part, as a logo, trademark, service mark, trade dress, business name, or exclusive brand identity.
  • Use Content to train, fine-tune, test, benchmark, or develop an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model; create or distribute a dataset or model weights; enable scraping or data mining; or submit Content to a service that may use it for those purposes.
  • Mint, tokenize, sell, or distribute Content as an NFT, blockchain asset, crypto asset, or similar tokenized product.
  • Use Content for any unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, harassing, or violence-inciting purpose.
  • Use Content to imply that a depicted person, brand, organization, creator, or Contributor endorses a product, service, political position, medical claim, or other message without separate written permission.
  • Use a depicted or recognizable person in a pornographic, defamatory, deceptive, political, medical, criminal, or otherwise sensitive context, or for facial recognition, biometric surveillance, or identity profiling.
  • Remove or falsify copyright, authorship, source, or rights information for the purpose of misrepresenting ownership.

You may use AI-assisted editing tools to modify Content as part of a permitted finished project, provided that the tool and its operator do not train on, retain for independent use, redistribute, or grant third-party access to the Content.

9. Attribution

Attribution to the Contributor or Articoo is not required for a permitted use, although voluntary credit is appreciated. When you choose to provide credit, a suitable format is: “Designed by [Contributor Name] via Articoo.”

10. Ownership and Non-Exclusivity

The Contributor or applicable rights holder retains copyright and all ownership rights in the Content. Articoo administers the license under rights granted by the Contributor. Because the license is non-exclusive, the same Content may be licensed to multiple customers and may not be claimed or registered by any customer as exclusive.

11. Commercial Rights and Editorial Content

Articoo does not offer a separate “Editorial Use Only” license under this Agreement. Contributors are required to hold the rights and permissions necessary to offer their Content for the commercial uses described here, including model or property releases where legally required.

Nevertheless, your use must not create a false endorsement or violate third-party trademark, privacy, publicity, personality, or other rights. Additional permission may be required for a particular use depending on the people, property, brands, objects, location, jurisdiction, or context depicted.

12. Duration, Removal, Refunds, and Termination

The license is perpetual while you comply with this Agreement. A valid license normally continues if the Content is later removed from Articoo or the Contributor closes an account.

The license automatically terminates if:

  • The related payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, cancelled, or obtained fraudulently.
  • You breach this Agreement and do not immediately stop the breach.
  • Articoo reasonably determines that the Content infringes or may infringe third-party rights, or continued use is prohibited by law, a court order, or a valid rights claim.

After termination, you must stop all new use, production, distribution, and sale involving the affected Content and delete all copies under your control, except where applicable law requires retention.

13. Rights Claims and Content Removal

Contributors contractually warrant that they own or control the rights required to license their Content. Articoo may investigate a rights complaint and may suspend or remove Content, cancel affected licenses, restrict accounts, or take other reasonable action while a claim is reviewed.

If a claim is confirmed, any refund or other remedy will be handled under the Articoo Refund Policy, the Terms of Use, and applicable law. Articoo does not provide open-ended legal indemnification for licensed Content.

14. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Articoo relies on the warranties provided by independent Contributors and does not provide warranties or indemnities beyond those expressly stated in the Terms of Use or required by applicable law.

Articoo’s liability and the exclusions that apply to use of the Site and Content are governed by the Terms of Use. Nothing in this Agreement excludes any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

15. Changes to This Agreement

The version of this Agreement in effect when paid Content is purchased or free Content is downloaded governs that Content. Future changes apply prospectively to later purchases and downloads and will not reduce rights already validly granted under an earlier version.

16. Relationship to Other Articoo Terms

This Agreement is incorporated into the Articoo Terms of Use. The Terms of Use govern account access, payments, site operation, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and other matters not addressed here. The Supply Agreement governs the rights and obligations of Contributors.

If this Agreement directly conflicts with a general statement about permitted use of downloaded Content in another Articoo policy, this Agreement controls only with respect to the scope of the Content license.
